Harry’s Meadow Campsite

Harry’s Meadow Campsite occupies part of the Hale Park estate near Fordingbridge, inside the New Forest National Park. The site runs to around 40 acres of open parkland, marked by an avenue of lime trees and looking out across the Avon Valley. It sits a short drive from both Fordingbridge and Downton, far enough from the busier centres to feel settled, yet close enough for everyday access to shops and services.

Pitches are not allocated in advance. Campers choose their own spot among the meadows and trees, whether for a tent or one of the furnished glamping bell tents.

There are no electric hook-ups. Facilities are practical and kept simple: a new shower block with hot showers, toilets (including compostable options), hot-water washing-up areas and drinking-water points. Fire pits can be hired and seasoned wood bought on site.

During the season a small selection of food and drink is available, including barista coffee, pastries, sourdough pizza, cocktails and local ales.

The position gives a useful balance of space and convenience.

A footpath leads out of the meadow towards Woodgreen, roughly a mile away, where there is a well-regarded country pub and a village shop. Wild swimming spots lie a short walk from the site, and walking and cycling routes into the wider New Forest start from the gate. Dogs are welcome.

Harry’s Meadow is one of three sites operated by Harry’s Campsites and opens on a seasonal basis, typically covering late spring and the main summer period.
